They are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In order to take the backup of Exchange database via Windows Server \nBackup, the user needs to have Organization Management rights.<\/li><li>The feature Windows Server Backup should be installed on the user machine.<\/li><li>When the database is restored to a location other than the original one, the database must be brought in a clean shutdown state.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure to Restore Exchange Database Via Windows Server Backup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to perform the restore process of Exchange server 2013 \ndatabase via Windows Server Backup follow the below-mentioned steps:<br>\n1) <strong>Start<\/strong> Windows Server Backup.<br>\n2) Select <strong>Local Backup<\/strong> option.<br>\n3) From the drop-down menu, select <strong>Recover<\/strong> option.<br>\n4) In the Getting Started section, select one of the following options:<br>\n<strong>-&gt;<\/strong> Select This server <strong>(ServerName)<\/strong> if the data that needs to be recovered has been backed on the local server.<br>\n<strong>-&gt;<\/strong>&nbsp; Select <strong>Another Server<\/strong> in case the data needs to be recovered from a different server or from a different computer.<br>\n<strong>-&gt;<\/strong> Since we have taken the backup on the same server we will go with the first option.<br>\n5) Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<br>\n6) On the page Select <strong>Backup Date<\/strong>, select the date and time of the backup that has to be restored.<br>\n7) Since every database needs to be recovered, select <strong>Applications<\/strong> option.<br>\n8) Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<br>\n9) <strong>Browse<\/strong> to the database and the log files, which you want to restore.<br>\n10) From the <strong>Specify Recovery Options<\/strong> page, select the location at which the data is to be recovered.<br>\n<strong>-&gt;<\/strong> <strong>Recover to original location<\/strong> should be selected in case the data has to be restored at the same location as of the backup file.<br>\n<strong>-&gt;<\/strong> <strong>Recover to Another location<\/strong> option should be selected in case the user is restoring the database at a different location.<br>\n11) <strong>Review<\/strong> all your selections and if correct click on <strong>Recover<\/strong> option.<br>\n12) The status and the progress of the recovery process can be seen on the <strong>Recovery Process<\/strong> page.<br>\n13) Click <strong>Close<\/strong>, when the recovery is finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of the above-mentioned steps, we believe that now the \nusers can easily restore an Exchange Server 2013 database using Windows \nServer backup.
