Network connect may have been lost\u2019<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Precautions to Avoid Corruption in Access Database<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Avoid the multi-user access<\/li><li>Normalize database tables<\/li><li>Delete unnecessary plug ins<\/li><li>Develop a habit to compress your database regularly<\/li><li>Close all the applications that you are not using<\/li><li>Make sure that each table in your database have a primary key<\/li><li>Split your database as much as possible<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even after following all these \nprecautions, if you still face trouble accessing your database, then you\n can recover Microsoft Access database file with the below mentioned \nmanual methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manual Methods to Repair &amp; Recover Corrupt Access Database File<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 1: Compact &amp; Repair Method<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Open <strong>MS Access<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Go to <strong>Database Tool<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Select <strong>Compact and Repair Database<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4.<\/strong> Inside <strong>Database to Compact From<\/strong> dialog box, browse the Access file and select the file and press<strong> Compact.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5. <\/strong>Now, create a new database in the <strong>Compact Database Into<\/strong> dialog box. Insert the file name &amp; press <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 2: Recover From Recent Backup<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For this method, you must have a recent \nbackup of your MDB or ACCDB files, beforehand. If you are having the \nbackup, then you can restore Access database file from that backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 3: Export Access Database to Access 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Use these steps given below, to export Access database to Access 2013 and below versions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Open your Access database file, select <strong>File &gt;&gt; Save As<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Select <strong>Access Database (*.accdb)<\/strong> inside<strong> Save Database As<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Now, provide a name to the files and choose the destination where the new MDB and ACCDB files will be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4.<\/strong> Click on <strong>OK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 4: Remove LDB File<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Everytime when you open your Access \nDatabase, a lock file (.ldb) also opens. This LDB file is automatically \ncreated by Jet Engine. By removing these LDB files, we can repair \ncorrupt Access 2007 database. So, make a habit to delete these lock \nfiles and check for the corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 5: Turn Off AutoCorrect Feature<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MS Access 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Go to <strong>File tab<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Click on <strong>Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Now, choose<strong> Current Database<\/strong> and uncheck all options under <strong>Name AutoCorrect Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MS Access 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the <strong>Access Logo<\/strong> and then click on<strong> Access Options<\/strong> and uncheck the option<strong> Track Name AutoCorrect Info.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MS Access 2003, 2002 &amp; 2002<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to <strong>Tools &gt;&gt; Options<\/strong> and then choose <strong>General<\/strong>.
