We also can\u2019t ignore the matter related to email system which relies on Outlook Express. After upgrading to latest edition of Windows OS, you can\u2019t skip old emails of Outlook Express. Limitations of Outlook Express:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> Microsoft ends the support of Outlook Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> It may prone to corruption due to its limited storage space (2 GB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong> The Outlook Express doesn\u2019t filter junk emails which results to virus attack<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.<\/strong>\n MS Outlook has personal calendar, group scheduling, task and contact \nmanagement features whereas Outlook express has only email and newsgroup\n functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.<\/strong>\n MS Outlook has competency to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server for\n email while Outlook Express does not provide this function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broadly, the Manual Method<\/strong> is divided into three phase, mentioned below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> Download Windows Live Mail<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> Export Outlook Express to Windows live mail<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong> Import Windows live mail to Outlook Express<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I will guide you how to complete the manual process.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 1. Download Windows Live mail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n very first step of this technique is to download Windows live mail. So,\n install Windows live mail and on your system. Once you done the \ninstallation process you need to go to second phase<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2: Export Outlook Express to Windows live mail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Go to Start<\/strong> button and then go to Control Panel<\/strong>. Click on Appearances and Themes <\/strong>after thatclick on Folder options.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: <\/strong>In the Folder options. <\/strong>Go to View <\/strong>tab, after that under Hidden files and folder<\/strong>, check the Show files, folders and drives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: <\/strong>Now\n the next step is to locate the folder i.e. Outlook Express. In the \nWindows XP the folder is located in the below mention location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C: Documents and settings\\user\\Local Setting\\Application Data\\ user identity number\\ Microsoft\\Outlook Express<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: <\/strong>If you have located the folder then copy it to system having Windows 7,8, Vista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now follow the next step for further process, if you copied the folder completely<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Open Windows live mail, Go to Start>>All Programs>> Windows Live Mail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: <\/strong>Go tofile menu and then click on import messages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: <\/strong>Now Windows live mail Import <\/strong>wizard will appear, Now you need to select Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and click Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Here the import mails from an Outlook express 6 store <\/strong>directory box is selected by default. If not selected, then select it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now click on the browse<\/strong> option to select the folder which you have copied earlier and. Click Next <\/strong>after selecting<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: <\/strong>Here\n select the messages folder which you want to import to Outlook Express.\n You can select all folder and Some selected folder, there is both \noptions available. After selecting the folder Click Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6: <\/strong>The importing process is conducted on your system, Wait for a while until it successfully completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7: <\/strong>You will receive a window that importing process completed successfully. Then click Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 3: Import Windows live mail to MS Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\n this is the last phase of the manual technique. In which all your \nexported data which you have imported earlier (Outlook express to \nWindows live mail) will moved to MS Outlook from Windows live mail. Now \nfollows these step to complete the conversion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: <\/strong>Open Microsoft Outlook, At the same time launch Windows live mail.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: <\/strong>In the Windows live mail go to File>>Export email <\/strong>and then select Export messages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: <\/strong>Now select the format you want to export, Here select Exchange Server>> Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: <\/strong>When you will click on next, a window will appear with the message \u2018This will import messages from Windows live mail to MS Outlook or Microsoft exchange\u2019 <\/em>Then click Ok <\/strong>to continue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: <\/strong>Now you can export all email folders or selected folder. Select the folder by Select folders <\/strong>option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:<\/strong> Click Ok<\/strong> after selecting the desired option<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the export process will start, you have to wait once it completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7: <\/strong>After the completion of the process, you get a message Export completed<\/strong>. Click Finish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manual method is effective solution for the conversion but the user has awareness about the technical steps otherwise it will be disastrous for data safety concern.
