Mac Operating Systems support an email client named Apple Mail for users to communicate by sharing emails. The \u2018Apple Mail\u2019 email client stores all its emails in an MBOX file. To read these MBOX emails in Outlook, convert Mac MBOX to the Outlook PST file format. You need to do so because MBOX files are not supported in Outlook, whereas PST files are.<\/p>\n

Methods of Converting Apple Mail MBOX to Outlook PST<\/h2>\n

Option 1: Manual Method<\/h3>\n

Step 1: <\/strong>Import all Apple Mail mailbox data into an MBOX file. To do so, execute the steps below:<\/p>\n

  1. Open \u2018Apple Mail\u2019 on your Mac.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to the \u2018File\u2019 menu and click the \u2018Import Mailboxes\u2026\u2019 option.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the program or file to import Apple Mail mailbox data.\u00a0Click \u201cFiles in mbox format\u201d and then the \u2018Continue\u2019 button.<\/li>\n
  4. Browse to locate MBOX files and\u00a0select the one to convert. Then, click \u2018Choose.\u2019<\/li>\n
  5. Choose the data items to import.\u00a0Click \u2018Continue.\u2019<\/li>\n
  6. Click \u2018Done\u2019 after the completion of the \u2018import\u2019 process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Here, the result is that all the imported mailbox data items are present in the \u2018Import\u2019 section of the \u2018Apple Mail\u2019 email client.<\/p>\n

    Step 2: <\/strong>Use Eudora (Windows version) to create a mailbox. To do so, execute the steps below:<\/p>\n

    1. Append the MBOX file extension to the imported file. For example, rename \u201cInboxMBOX\u201d as \u201cInboxMBOX.mbx.\u201d<\/li>\n
    2. Move the \u201cInboxMBOX.mbx\u201d file to the directory in which Eudora stores its files.\u00a0 C:Documents and Settings<user>Application DataQualcommEudora.<\/li>\n
    3. Run Eudora on your system. To create the mailbox, double-click on the InboxMBOX.mbx file.<\/li>\n
    4. Close \u2018Eudora.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Step 3: <\/strong>Use Outlook Express to import emails.<\/p>\n

      1. Run Outlook Express on your system.<\/li>\n
      2. Go to its \u2018File\u2019 menu and click Import >> Messages\u2026<\/li>\n
      3. Choose \u2018Eudora\u2019 in the list and click \u2018Next\u2019.<\/li>\n
      4. Browse the InboxMBOX.mbx file location and click \u2018OK.\u2019<\/li>\n
      5. Click \u2018Next\u2019 and then \u2018Next\u2019 again.<\/li>\n
      6. Click \u2018Finish.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 The imported mailbox will be present in the \u2018Local Folders\u2019 of Outlook Express.<\/em><\/p>\n

        Step 4: <\/strong>Import the mailbox from Outlook Express to Outlook. Here are the steps:<\/p>\n

        1. Launch MS Outlook on your system. Then click on File >> Open.<\/li>\n
        2. Click the \u2018Import\u2019 button and then go to \u2018Import and Export Wizard.\u2019<\/li>\n
        3. Choose \u2018Import Internet Mail and Addresses\u2019 and click \u2018Next.\u2019<\/li>\n
        4. Select Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x or Windows Mail and click \u2018Next.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          After performing all these steps, the Apple Mail mailbox data items will be imported into Outlook.<\/p>\n
