There are a lot of important conversations saved in any O365 Inbox folder. These are emails that need to be archived as a single file for security and compliance policy. This can be useful for future reference or for moving emails from one account to another. There are many non-technical businessmen who look for ways to migrate Office 365 mailbox to PST. These are complex steps that not every professional in a business may be aware of. All the methods are mentioned in the post below. It describes in a detailed manner the necessary solution and how to implement it. Follow them precisely to avoid data loss.<\/p>\n

Following are some of the steps that can be used to download O365 emails to PC:<\/p>\n

  1. First, log-in to Office 365<\/strong> using admin credentials.<\/li>\n
  2. Then, go to Admin>>Exchange>>Permission>>Admin Roles>>Discovery Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. From \u2018Discovery Management\u2019<\/strong> screen, click on \u2018+\u2019 sign<\/strong> to add Roles. This will help with the Office 365 to PST migration. Select Mailbox Import Export roles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. From the Members click the \u2018+\u2019 sign<\/strong> again, and select the name of the user<\/strong>. Finally, click on the Save<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  5. Backup Exchange Online Mailbox to PST<\/li>\n
  6. First, log-in to EAC(Exchange Admin Centre)<\/strong> and go to Compliance Management<\/strong>>>In-Place eDiscovery<\/strong> & Hold.<\/li>\n
  7. From the list-view select the mailbox<\/strong> items that are to be transferred.<\/li>\n
  8. Then, click on the download icon<\/strong> to start the Office 365 to PST export<\/strong> procedure. This will save a small file containing installation file of an eDiscovery PST Export<\/strong> Tool. Following are the steps that can be implemented for running and using this utility:<\/li>\n
  9. First, set a destination path<\/strong> to where the Outlook data file(.pst) will be saved.<\/li>\n
  10.  Then, mark the \u2018Enable deduplication<\/strong>\u2019 checkbox. This removes any duplicating or repeating emails in a folder.<\/li>\n
  11.  Then, mark a box next to \u2018Include Unsearchable Items<\/strong>\u2019. This will add searchable items that were not discover-able in using the Exchange search. This will again help with the Office 365 to PST export. This includes email files with attachments that cannot be indexed during a search. Such messages are saved in a separate .pst file.<\/li>\n
  12.  Finally, click<\/strong> on the Export button<\/strong> to start the backup Exchange Online mailbox to PST.
